Settings & privacy

Open Settings from the TabMail Voice menu-bar app.

  • Account — Sign in with your TabMail email and one-time code.
  • Dictation — Choose Right Option or Fn / Globe and whether to read the screen while dictating.
  • Dictionary — Add or remove names and specialist terms.
  • Agent mode — Control which tools the assistant can use.

Screen context is optional

Read the screen while dictating sends text from the foreground window with your dictation to help the transcriber recognize names and terms already on screen. Consider what is visible in that window before starting a recording. Turn the setting off when you do not want to include that context.

What is processed

Voice sends recordings and the relevant context to TabMail for transcription and AI processing. That content is processed transiently and is not retained or used for model training. Your dictionary is stored locally; its entries can be sent as context for a dictation.

Local paste history can contain text you have dictated. Treat your computer and any screenshots of that history accordingly.

For the full policy, including account, usage, and voluntarily submitted report data, see Privacy Policy.

Stop using Voice

Quit the app from its menu-bar menu. To uninstall, quit first and move TabMail Voice from Applications to the Trash. Removing the app does not cancel your subscription; manage that separately in the TabMail dashboard.
