Settings & device sync
Email Accounts and TabMail Settings
Use Email Accounts to add or remove mailboxes, check sync progress, configure push notifications, and manage local email index and attachment storage.
Use TabMail Settings for writing preferences, action classification rules, knowledge base, reply templates, dictation, chat history, and AI provider choices.
Use your preferences on another device
Sync with Your Other Devices → Auto-Sync shares prompts, action rules, knowledge base, and templates between your own TabMail devices. Sign into the same TabMail account and enable device sync on the devices you want to connect.
This sync is for personalization. Your mailboxes still connect to your email provider, and each device builds its own local search index.
Plans and AI providers
Your TabMail sign-in identifies your plan. Check the account area for your subscription and usage. If you subscribed through Apple, manage that subscription through Apple’s subscription settings; website subscriptions are managed from the TabMail dashboard.
In AI Provider, you can choose a provider for background and interactive work and use Manage API Keys for your own keys. Your provider may charge you separately, and its data handling terms apply to requests sent directly to it.
Privacy controls
The AI opt-out in TabMail Settings stops requests to the TabMail AI backend. Features that require those requests, including AI summaries and chat, stop working while it is enabled.
Email indexes and personalization live on your device. AI features process relevant content transiently. Optional push notifications have their own authorization and metadata handling; review the explanation before enabling them. For complete details and exceptions, see the Privacy Policy.
