Write, reply & dictate

Start a draft

Tap Compose for a new message, or Reply inside a conversation. Check the recipients and subject before sending.

For a reply, TabMail can prepare a draft using the conversation. Read the suggestion and tap Use Suggestion to bring it into your draft. You can then edit it normally.

Ask for an edit

Open the chat panel in the compose view and describe what you want changed:

  • “Make this warmer and shorter.”
  • “Add a sentence asking which day works for them.”
  • “Keep the details, but turn this into three bullet points.”

You can refine the draft over several turns. Review the actual draft after each change, then send it when you’re ready.

Speak instead of typing

Tap the microphone in the chat panel to dictate your request. Allow microphone and speech recognition access when asked. Review the recognized words before relying on them for names, dates, or addresses.

TabMail Settings includes Dictation Language, Auto-Enable Dictation, and a Voice Dictation Dictionary for names and specialist terms.

iPhone dictation uses the device’s speech recognition service. TabMail Voice is a separate desktop app with its own dictation controls.

Make replies sound like you

Set your tone, preferred language, and useful context in TabMail Settings → Email Composition. Use Reply Templates for recurring kinds of replies.

Next: Settings and your other devices.
