Chat & calendars

Ask your inbox

Open the chat panel from the inbox for a broad question, or from a message for help with that conversation. You can type or use the microphone.

Try “Summarize the messages that need a reply” or “Find the email about next week’s meeting.” Be specific about the account, person, or date when there might be more than one match.

The assistant can search your mail, help with drafts, and propose actions. Read the proposed action and its details before confirming it, particularly recipients and event times.

Connect a calendar

Use Add Calendar and choose iCloud Calendar, Google Calendar, Outlook Calendar, or Other CalDAV. Complete the provider’s setup. iCloud calendar setup uses an app-specific password.

Once connected, ask about your schedule or request an event, such as “Find a free hour tomorrow afternoon.” Review the calendar, date, time zone, and guests before confirming an event change.

Control what the assistant can use

Use the tool controls in the app to configure available capabilities. Web search and your personal context are configured in TabMail Settings. If a request needs a disconnected account or disabled tool, connect or enable it before retrying.

For connection problems, see Troubleshooting.
