Uninstall
This guide covers how to completely remove TabMail from your system.

Remove the Launcher
macOS
Drag TabMail.app from /Applications to the Trash, or run:
sudo rm -rf "/Applications/TabMail.app"
Windows
- Open Settings → Apps → Installed Apps
- Find TabMail
- Click ⋯ → Uninstall
Or use Control Panel → Programs and Features → Right-click TabMail → Uninstall
Remove the Addon
After removing the launcher, the TabMail addon will still be installed in Thunderbird. To remove it:
- Open Thunderbird
- Go to Settings → Add-ons and Themes (or press
Ctrl+Shift+A/Cmd+Shift+A) - Find TabMail for Thunderbird
- Click the ⋯ menu → Remove
- Restart Thunderbird
Note: You can keep the addon installed even without the launcher. It will continue to work normally.
What Gets Removed

The local search index is stored in the addon’s data directory, so it is automatically deleted when you remove the addon from Thunderbird.
Reinstalling
If you want to reinstall TabMail later:
- Download the latest installer from tabmail.ai/download
- Run the installer
- The addon will be installed automatically on first launch
Your account and subscription will be preserved if you sign in with the same account. Local settings and search index will need to be rebuilt.
