What we expect
Quality
- Clear purpose — Templates should have a clear, specific use case. Describe what the template is for and when to use it.
- Well-written content — Use proper grammar, spelling, and formatting. Templates represent you and the community.
- Useful instructions — Provide helpful bullet points that guide the AI in generating appropriate responses.
Respect
- Professional language — Keep templates professional and respectful. Avoid profanity, slurs, or derogatory language.
- No harassment — Templates must not target, harass, or demean any individual or group.
- Cultural sensitivity — Be mindful of different cultures, backgrounds, and perspectives.
Originality
- Your own work — Only share templates you created or have permission to share.
- No plagiarism — Don’t copy templates from other sources without attribution or permission.
Safety
- No harmful content — Templates must not promote illegal activities, violence, or self-harm.
- No malicious intent — Don’t create templates designed to deceive, scam, or manipulate recipients.
- No spam — Templates should not be designed for unsolicited bulk messaging or spam.
Privacy
- No personal data — Don’t include personal information about yourself or others (phone numbers, addresses, etc.) in shared templates.
- Respect confidentiality — Don’t share templates containing proprietary or confidential business information.
Review process
All submitted templates go through a review process before becoming publicly available:
- Submission — When you share a template, it enters a pending review state.
- Review — Our team reviews the template against these guidelines.
- Approval or rejection — Templates that meet our guidelines are approved and made public. Those that don’t are rejected with feedback.
What happens if guidelines are violated
- Rejection — Templates that violate guidelines will be rejected during review.
- Removal — Previously approved templates may be removed if found to violate guidelines.
- Account action — Repeated or severe violations may result in restrictions on sharing privileges.
Right to reject
TabMail reserves the right to reject or remove any template at any time, for any reason, including but not limited to:
- Violation of these guidelines
- Legal concerns
- Community complaints
- Quality standards
Tips for getting approved
- Be specific — Generic templates are less useful. Focus on specific scenarios.
- Test first — Make sure your template works well before sharing.
- Write a good description — Help others understand when to use your template.
- Keep it professional — Even casual templates should maintain professionalism.
