The chat agent can search, read, and manage your emails through natural conversation.

Searching emails

Ask the agent to find emails using any criteria you’d think of:

  • “Show me emails from Sarah this week”
  • “Find emails with attachments from last month”
  • “Search for emails about the project deadline”

The agent uses your local email index for fast search. When you interact with the agent, content is processed transiently and never stored at rest.

Reading emails

When you need to understand an email’s content:

  • “What does John’s latest email say?”
  • “Summarize my conversation with the marketing team”
  • “What action items are in that email?”

The agent will read the email and give you a summary or answer your specific question.

Replying to emails

Draft and send responses through the chat:

  • “Reply to Sarah and let her know I’ll be there”
  • “Help me write a polite decline for that meeting invitation”
  • “Draft a response asking for more details”

The agent creates a draft for your review before sending.

Managing emails

Keep your inbox organized:

  • “Archive all read emails from newsletters”
  • “Delete emails from this sender”
  • “Mark the email from John as important”

Tips

  • Reference emails by sender, subject, or recency (“the latest email”, “John’s message from yesterday”)
  • Be specific about what you want to do
  • You can chain actions: “Find emails from acme.com and summarize them”

Privacy

Email content is processed transiently for AI features and is not retained. You can always disable AI features at any time with a single toggle in your settings. For more details, see Privacy Policy.
