Contacts Lookup
The agent can search your address book to find contact information.
Finding contacts
Ask about people you’ve emailed:
- “What’s John Smith’s email address?”
- “Find contacts at acme.com”
- “Who have I emailed about the marketing project?”
The agent searches your Thunderbird address book and email history.
How it works
TabMail builds a local index of contacts from:
- Your Thunderbird address books
- People you’ve exchanged emails with
- Names and addresses in email signatures
This means you can find contacts even if they’re not explicitly saved in your address book.
Use with other tools
Contacts work seamlessly with email and calendar:
- “Email everyone from the project team” — Agent finds the contacts, then helps you compose
- “Schedule a meeting with the same people from last week’s call” — Agent looks up attendees and creates the event
Privacy
Contact data is processed transiently for AI features and is not retained. You can always disable AI features at any time with a single toggle in your settings. For more details, see Privacy Policy.
